Minneapolis – Los Angeles

Spent an interesting time in Minneapolis at the APS DFD meeting. Sitting at Milwaukee airport and waiting for my connecting flight to Los Angeles. Pictures will follow as soon as I am back in Stockholm.

Dude, Where’s My Car?

Not that I liked the movie “Dude, Where’s My Car?“, or that I would have a car on my own, but this morning I was thinking the same thing. Since, I was quite busy the last few days, weeks, monthes, we decided to rent a car and go shopping (the usual, IKEA, Kista Gallerian, Outlet, LIDL, Willy’s route). I parked the car in the evening somewhere close to our apartment and when I woke up this morning to return it, I did not find it where I parked it. But some idiot had parked a similar car few meters away 90 degrees turned to the road blocking half the street. Some seconds at most have past before I realised that that car was the one I rented the day before. Mmh? I did not start drinking over night, nor do I remember anything strange about last night, except the usual noise from students partying outside our apartment. Luckily, there were no damages to the car, so they must have been gentle to the car while carrying/pushing it around. Note to myself: Return the car before you go to sleep.

reverse psychology

“vill inte!” (don’t wanna) and “Jag också!” (me too) are the two most common things our little one says these days. But we learnt to get around it by reverse psychology. Instead of saying “Papa, Mama och du går ut” and hearing “vill inte!”, we prefer to say “Papa och mama går ut, men inte du” and get the wanted responce: Jag också! It doesn’t work always, but we are improving in fooling him around. Its nice to be smarter than a kid!

Back in Germany

After 6 days Sweden I am back in Germany. ETC12 in Marburg.

On the way to Germany

Thanks to the good roads in Greece and the BMW and sleeping passengers in the car, which allowed me to test the speed limit of the car, I didn’t see so much of Greece.
