Il duce

I already anticipated in my last entry that we were quite scared to be in Predappio during the late evening. I mean, we knew that it was the birth town of Mussolini, and we also heard that time hasn’t changed a lot in the last decades in this small town. But that the biggest souvenirs shop of Predappio sells almost entirely only stuff concerning him and related scary stuff was beyond our imagination. Although some big, tall and bold guys were looking strangely at us while I was starring in the vitrines of the souvenir shop. (Un)fortunately the cemetery was closed at that time otherwise we aimed to see how “Il duce”s grave was kept by his fellow man. I probably will forward some images I took (after I have left Italy) to some local offices, just to have done my part. We were also told by some Italians that they don’t like to go there at nights. Even they feel to be in the wrong time and place. On the other hand it has a beautiful landscape. At least we stopped complaining about Forli, it isn’t as bad and it is getting colder, at least for the locals: 25-30°C after 7pm.
